Modern Chinese (7 Volumes)

Due to the rise in Chinese language learning, the global demand for Chinese language learning is increasing day by day, and the compilation of Chinese language learning materials has also received more attention.

To address the lack of internationally promoted Chinese textbooks from Taiwan, seven university Chinese language centers—including Tamkang University, Fu Jen Catholic University, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, Tzu Chi University, National Taipei University of Education, Chinese Culture University, and Feng Chia University—jointly formed the Modern Chinese Review Committee.

The complete series consists of seven volumes covering 16 major themes. Each volume contains 16 lessons designed with spiral progression and gradual advancement to strengthen learners’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities through practical, real-life content.

The book consists of 30 lessons, each divided into four sections: Text, Words and Phrases, Review, and Extended Practice.

Lesson topics are drawn from daily life, including self-introduction, family, school, and communication. Vocabulary explanations focus on stroke order and word usage to help learners build a solid foundation.

Review sections remove phonetic symbols to strengthen character recognition, while extended practice activities allow learners to apply newly acquired vocabulary and expressions.
