The center's Chinese language courses focus on introducing Taiwan's unique features and Chinese culture, supplemented by learning about other countries' cultural characteristics. Teaching covers listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, emphasizing both the artistic and practical aspects of Chinese.

The humanistic aspect reflects Chinese cultural knowledge and spirit, while the artistic aspect highlights the beauty of Chinese characters, sounds, imagery, structure, and meaning. Courses are practical and life-oriented, stressing communication skills.

Through situational dialogues, learners acquire daily-use phrases and vocabulary, with Taiwan and Chinese culture as the core.

1. Established in February 2006, with President Chuang Chi-Ming serving as the first director.
2. In November 2006, Professor Sun Jian-Qiu from the Department of Language and Creative Studies took over as director.
3. In December 2007, approved by the Ministry of Education to officially enroll international students.

4. Co-host on-the-job master’s programs with relevant departments.
5. Conduct international academic exchanges, study visits, and student exchanges with Chinese language institutions worldwide.
6. Assist the government in overseas Chinese education, compile teaching materials, train teachers abroad, and host cultural and arts exchange activities to expand public diplomacy.
7. Promote Chinese language and writing courses to enroll international students and enhance their Chinese proficiency.
8. Administer international Chinese language proficiency tests and competitions.
9. Accept government, school, and private commissions to conduct Chinese language training and related courses.
